Introduction

Welcome to the Armand Tatossian Foundation, a non-profit the Estate set up with the primary mission to promote, preserve and strengthen the Armand Tatossian market as well as preserve Armand Tatossian’s legacy. 

To this end, we are striving to locate and identify works by Armand in anticipation of preparing a catalog containing a definitive and comprehensive compendium of all known original artworks. Additionally, we are hoping that this very exercise will help locate the highest caliber works, so that in the event of future Armand Tatossian Retrospective(s) and/or publications, lithographs, etc. we can contact respective owners for their participation. 

Artists' Catalogs also carry a certain historic value and can later be referenced should someone ever wish to sell or transfer title of any of the works in their collection. Additionally, it is recognized that a well-documented history & clear provenance can always be useful when providing lineage and can increase the value of a painting over time.

If you have an art work by Armand Tatossian and you'd like to be sure it is included in the complete catalog of the artist's work, please email the replies to the following along with a good quality photos of the front, close up of the signature and a picture of the back of the painting.

•  Where was the work purchased ?

•  When was the work purchased ?

•  At what price? ( optional)

•  Do you have a copy of your purchase invoice and/or other documentation? We require proof of ownership.

•  Did it come with a certificate of Authenticity? If yes, is there a reference number?

•  Does it have a serial number?

•  Has the work been published in a book?

• Are you aware if there have there been reproductions made of your work?

BIENVENUE à La Fondation Armand Tatossian

La Fondation Armand Tatossian est une organisation à but non lucratif mise en place par la succession afin de préserver le patrimoine d'Armand Tatossian et de cataloguer toutes ses œuvres. Nous cherchons à répertorier les oeuvres depuis ses tout début.

Notre but est que ce catalogue serve comme référence principale car il contiendra un répertoire complet de toutes les œuvres d'art originales connues d'Armand Tatossian.

L'inclusion dans le catalogue de la Succession/Fondation non seulement valide et soutient l'authenticité des oeuvres, mais il peut ensuite servir comme référence si jamais vous décidez de vendre ou de transférer le titre de l'un des tableaux de votre collection puisque un historique bien documenté peut être utile pour fournir la provenance des œuvres. De plus, il est connu que les provenances évidentes peuvent élever la valeur d'un tableau au fil du temps. 

De nombreuses successions d'autres artistes bien connus, tels que Marc-Aurele Fortin, Marc Chagall,  et Riopelle entre autres, passent par un processus similaire de catalogage détaillé et méticuleux.

 

Ce projet permettra de trouver et répertorier les œuvres de très grande qualité, de sorte que dans l’avenir, si nous organisons de rétrospectives de l'artiste et/ou des publications, nous pouvons communiquer avec les propriétaires respectifs pour demander leur participation.

Si vous possédez l'une d'entre elles et voudriez vous assurez qu'elle y soit incluse, veuillez nous faire parvenir les réponses au questions suivantes accompagnées d'une bonne photo de l'oeuvre, ainsi que de l'endos si possible.

•  Dimensions: ( sans cadre )

•  À quelle Galerie l'oeuvre a été achetée ?

• À quelle date ?

•  À quel prix ? ( facultatif )

•  Avez-vous une copie de votre facture d'achat et / ou toute autre documentation?

• Est-il venu avec un certificat d'authenticité? Si oui, y at-il un numéro de référence?

•  A-t-elle un numéro de série?

• Est-ce que l'oeuvre a jamais été publiée dans un livre? Si oui, lequel?

• Savez-vous s'il y avait des reproductions faites de votre tableau?
